How do I calculate days until a date?
Subtract today's date from the target date. This calculator does it instantly and additionally splits the span into weeks, weekdays, weekend days and approximate months — because "in 65 days" and "in 47 working days" drive very different plans.
Does the countdown include today or the target day?
It counts the full days between the two dates (standard date difference): from Oct 21 to Oct 22 is 1 day. If your personal convention counts sleeps or includes both endpoints, your number may differ by one — the tool states its convention so you can adjust.
How many weekdays are in my countdown?
The tool counts them exactly by walking the calendar — roughly 5/7 of the total (65 days holds 47 weekdays). For legal/business deadlines, remember holidays further reduce true business days; no generic counter knows your jurisdiction's calendar.
Can I count days until a past date?

Why months "approximate"?
Because months aren't a unit — they run 28–31 days. The tool divides by the average month (365.25 ÷ 12 = 30.44 days) and labels it approximate; for anything contractual, count actual calendar months on the Date Calculator instead.
